Making carton recycling fun for people across the country 13/10/2009
It can sometimes be difficult to get people excited about green actions, but that is exactly what our YouTube based consumer campaign has set out to do. Not only this, but it helps the environment too!
You can fit three times as many cartons in a recycling bin if you squash them first, helping to keep trucks off the road.
With month to go, people across the country are being called - online, at events and in the press - to get creative, squashing their cartons and grabbing a chance to win one of two fantastic prizes.
• a ‘chance of a lifetime’ place on an exciting international environmental adventure – from a wildlife conservation trip with elephants in South Africa to volunteering with turtles in Panama
• or an Eco TV, 50 hot DVDs and a supply of wine or smoothies in Tetra Pak cartons
So far our squash campaign has been featured highly in green blogs, twitter, facebook and local media.
With over 250 entries to date and many more to come, people are having a great time, squashing their cartons before they recycle!
