Tetra Pak UK & Ireland, the Wrexham based carton manufacturer, has appointed Nick Price as its new Recycling Operations Officer.

Nick joins the Recycling Operations team from Wrexham County Borough Council and will be working with Local Authorities to promote and provide kerbside recycling for cartons. This work forms an integral part of Tetra Pak’s commitment to increasing the level and coverage of carton recycling in the UK.

Nick has many years’ experience in waste management as a Recycling Officer for Flintshire County Council and, latterly, Wrexham County Borough Council. He has also worked with Groundwork, a group of charities that focus on improving social and environmental conditions in the UK.

He joins Fay Dashper, National Recycling Operations Manager, who welcomed his appointment, commenting:

"Nick’s appointment will significantly strengthen the recycling team.  It comes at a crucial time when we are concentrating our efforts on supporting Local Authorities to expand kerbside collections across the country.  He has excellent technical knowledge and a great deal of experience in waste management, which we believe will be put to great use at Tetra Pak".

Speaking about his appointment, Nick Price commented:

"Tetra Pak is a company I’ve long admired for its forward thinking approach to recycling and the environment, and I’m relishing the challenge of driving forward kerbside collections".
